Siblyback Lake, Liskeard, Cornwall PL14 6ER

This popular fly fishery on the edge of Bodmin Moor is regularly stocked with Rainbow Trout averaging between 1 and 2lb with a lot of fish in the 3-6lb bracket. There is also a few fish in the double figure range stocked each year. There are three angling boats and booking is essential to guarantee availability (01579346522). There is also a wheelyboat for disabled anglers (which should be booked 48 hours in advance). ‘Catch and release' option is available (barbless hooks must be used). The quality of fish are second to none and they are supplied by local farm Milemead. A large number of Blue trout are also stocked and these look amazing but fight far above there weight!
There is also a petrol engine for hire but you may take your own electric outboard

Siblyback Lake

All my waterside tuition is carried out at Siblyback, including bank, loch style skills and techniques.  Loch style is my passion and  have great memories of  the incredible days and methods adopted during the many Benson & Hedges, and England Internationals. The Loch Style Day is dedicated to passing on to you the skills, fly patterns and techniques developed through the years.

Unfortunately, this is not suitable for a complete beginner.

I am still closely involved with the international scene in my capacity as International Lochstyle Coordinator

for Team England Fly Fishing.

I am also the lead coach for the Cornwall Branch of South West Flyfishing for Life (SWFFL). We meet

at Siblyback on the third Sunday of each month. For further details  www.southwestfishingforlife.org.uk
